Movers and shakers

Is it all worth it?

The Usual Suspects

The rich tapestry of finance

round and round we go

4th December 1999

Season's greetings. I've just got the last top up cheque so will send this off this weekend with all the others. Given our current finances we should be able to buy 2 shares following the meeting and another in March, so this is your chance to make your presence felt! With the first meeting aproaching at the end of January (29th), I think it would be a good idea to set an agenda. Here's a draft with my initial ideas.

  • Opening statement by yours truly
  • Each member to briefly introduce themselves - name, job, where they're from, what they hope to gain from the club.
  • Each member to provide a suggestion for a share purchase and back it up appropriately.
  • Choice of two shares from those proposed. (It would help if you could summarise your argument and hand it out to the rest of the club)
  • Open floor, to include discussion of club strategy and management.
  • AOB
  • Beer

This will also give everyone a chance to share out some of the resources we've accumulated and discuss things in more detail.

Look forward to seeing you soon.
James
